Job summary

People Solutions is seeking an HGV Class 2 Day Driver for our client based in the Warrington area. You will drive Category C vehicles, manage trunking and loading duties, and ensure on-time deliveries with a strong focus on customer service.

Ideal candidates have 12 months HGV Class 2 experience, a valid UK Category C licence, CPC and tachograph cards, and a clean safety record. Regular shifts, ongoing work, and comprehensive training are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months HGV Class 2 driving experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good spoken and written English; excellent timekeeping and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Drive Category C vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Complete trunking, drop and swap duties.
• Operate curtain-sided vehicles and secure loads.
• Take photographs to document deliveries.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations.
• Report customer concerns to management promptly.
• Conduct pre- and post-shift vehicle checks.
• Report defects and maintenance issues as required.

HGV Class 2 Driver - Warrington

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Day Driver to join our well-established client based in Newton Le Willows, Merseyside.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, guaranteed minimum shift pay, and ongoing work with a leading logistics business.

This would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £17.00 per hour
• Weekly pay
• All holidays accrued separately

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• AM Start times - 07:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as an HGV Class 2 Driver are:

• Driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently
• Completing trunking, drop and swap duties
• Operating curtain-sided vehicles
• Securing loads using straps where required
• Taking photographs to document successful deliveries
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
• Reporting customer concerns promptly to management
• Completing vehicle checks before and after shifts
• Reporting defects and maintenance issues as required
• Ensuring compliance with driver hours and road transport regulations

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

• A minimum of 12 months' HGV Class 2 driving experience
• A valid UK Category C Driving Licence
• A valid Driver CPC Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• No major endorsements, including DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability
