Job summary

People Solutions is recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our client in Severn Beach on a full-time basis. The role involves safe operation of Category C vehicles, up to six daily store deliveries, and on-time documentation across the UK.

We offer excellent pay, weekly wages, ongoing training and support, with immediate starts available. A 3-week rolling shift pattern and 4 days per week are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver.
• Valid UK Category C driving licence.
• Valid CPC qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 penalty points for minor offences.
• No DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99 endorsements.
• Good customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Completing up to 6 deliveries to stores across the UK each day.
• Ensuring loads are kept at correct temperature during transit.
• Unloading cages using a tail lift and delivering to stores.
• Taking photographs to document deliveries.
• Completing paperwork and vehicle checks.

HGV Class 2 Driver - Severn Beach

People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Severn Beach on a full-time ongoing basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and long-term career prospects within a growing transport operation.

This would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Lorry Driver.

Rates of Pay

• £17.13 per hour basic
• £25.69 per hour overtime

Shift Pattern

• Working 4 days out of 7
• 3-week rolling rota

Day-to-Day Duties

Your duties as an HGV Class 2 Driver are:

• Driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
• Completing up to 6 deliveries to stores across the UK each day
• Ensuring all loads are maintained at the correct temperature throughout the journey
• Safely unloading cages using a tail lift and delivering them into stores
• Taking photographs to document successful deliveries
• Completing all relevant paperwork and vehicle checks

Essential Skills

The skills required to be an HGV Class 2 Driver are:

• Minimum 12 months' experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver
• Valid UK Category C driving licence
• Valid CPC qualification
• Valid Digital Tachograph card
• No more than 6 penalty points for minor offences
• No DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99 endorsements
• No major endorsements
• Strong customer service skills
• Good communication skills
• A professional and reliable approach to work
