Job summary

People Solutions is recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our client in Halesowen. This is stable, ongoing work with excellent earning potential and opportunities for long-term progression.

Rates of pay are £15.50 per hour with weekly earnings up to £1,000. Shifts are Monday to Friday with start times between 05:00 and 06:00.

Candidates should hold a UK Category C Driving Licence, CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, with a clean licence.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C Driving Licence.
• CPC Card required.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Category C vehicles to and from delivery locations.
• Complete up to twelve multi-drop deliveries per day.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and accurately.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Adhere to traffic laws and road safety regulations.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Communicate with transport teams, customers and site staff.
• Assist with handball duties when required.

People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Halesowen and the surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced drivers looking for stable, ongoing work, excellent earning potential and long-term career progression.

This role would suit applicants who have worked in a role as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Lorry Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £15.50 per hour
• Earning potential of up to £1,000 per week

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 05:00 and 06:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as an HGV Class 2 Driver are:

• Safely operating Category C vehicles to and from delivery locations
• Completing up to twelve multi-drop deliveries per day
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and accurately
• Carrying out daily vehicle inspections and reporting any defects
• Adhering to all traffic laws and road safety regulations
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
• Communicating effectively with transport teams, customers and site staff
• Supporting with handball duties where required

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

• Valid UK Category C Driving Licence
• Valid CPC Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD or CD convictions)
• Reliable, professional and punctual approach to work
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Strong understanding of driver compliance and road safety regulations

Training:

• Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
