Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting an HGV Class 1 Day Driver to join our client based in Warrington. You will drive Category CE vehicles, complete trunking and delivery duties, and provide excellent customer service.

The role offers guaranteed minimum shift pay, weekly pay, and a comprehensive training programme with ongoing support.

You will work Monday to Friday with 07:00 starts, and must have 12 months CE experience, valid CPC and Tachograph cards, and clean driving licence.

Qualifications

• 12 months CE HGV Class 1 driving experience
• UK Category CE Driving Licence
• Driver CPC Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points
• Strong customer service and communication
• Good spoken and written English

Responsibilities

• Drive Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently
• Complete trunking, drop and swap duties
• Operate curtain-sided vehicles
• Secure loads using straps where required
• Take photographs to document deliveries
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations
• Report customer concerns to management
• Complete vehicle checks before and after shifts
• Report defects and maintenance issues
• Ensure compliance with driver hours and road transport regulations

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Day Driver to join our well-established client based in Newton Le Willows, Merseyside.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, guaranteed minimum shift pay, and ongoing work with a leading logistics business.

This would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £18.00 per hour
• Weekly pay
• All holidays accrued seperately

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• AM Start times - 07:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as an HGV Class 1 Driver are:

• Driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently
• Completing trunking, drop and swap duties

• Reporting customer concerns promptly to management
• Completing vehicle checks before and after shifts

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

• A minimum of 12 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience
• A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
• A valid Driver CPC Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• No major endorsements, including DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability
