People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

This role offers excellent rates of pay, ongoing work and genuine opportunities for growth and progression. The position suits applicants with experience as LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, or Truck Driver.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C licence.
• Minimum 12 months experience driving Category C vehicles.
• No more than six penalty points.
• Valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping.
• Strong understanding of UK road traffic laws.
• Effective communication with transport office and customers.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pallet deliveries across Oxfordshire.
• Operate Category C vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections.
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured.
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations.
• Communicate with transport office and customers.
• Report vehicle defects or maintenance needs.
• Assist with loading and unloading when required.

HGV Class 2 Driver - Bicester, Oxfordshire

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.

This role would suit applicants who have worked in a similar role such as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, or Truck Driver.

Shifts:

• Monday to Friday
• 07:00 - finish

Rates of Pay:

• £15.00 per hour
• Minimum nine hours guaranteed each day

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Carrying out pallet deliveries throughout Oxfordshire
• Operating Category C vehicles safely and efficiently
• Carrying out pre and post journey vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly
• Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements
• Assisting with loading and unloading when required

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category C licence
• A minimum of 12 month's experience driving Category C vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes)
• A valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
• A strong understanding of UK road traffic laws
• Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience:

• Previous commercial driving experience
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience

Training:

• Driver assessment required prior to starting
