Job summary

Veolia Group in Camden is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver to operate 18t/12t vehicles, perform daily checks, and ensure safe waste collection with site cleanliness. The role is aligned with our safety standards and operational procedures.

The position offers a 39-hour week with a 2pm–10pm shift, and Veolia benefits including generous leave, pension, discounts, and wellbeing resources to support you and your family.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid UK driving licence with Class 2 experience.
• Driver CPC qualification is required.
• Valid Tachograph card is essential.
• Good understanding of basic English.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV vehicles such as 18t, 7.5t or 12t as required.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and keep cab clean.
• Ensure spillage is cleared and waste is collected safely.
• Obey road traffic laws and site rules, maintain load weight limits.
• Assist with loading bins/containers when needed.
• Leave tipper empty at end of shift and maintain cleanliness.

What You’ll be doing:

• Will be driving HGV Vehicles such as 18t Dust Cast, 7.5t Cage or 12t Scarab depending on business needs for the day/week.
• Ensure that any spillage of waste is cleared at the time of collection to leave the site litter free
• When entering premises, comply with any site rules and Health & Safety procedures
• Comply with all road traffic legislation in relation to your duties including parking restriction, security and weight of loads.
• The Company operates a zero tolerance on overweight vehicles.
• At the end of the shift, ensure that the tipper is left empty and that the cab is clean and clear of litter, uniform and personal effects.
• Helping out loading bins & containers when required.
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook.

What we’re looking for:

Essential:

• Full valid driving licence
• Previous Class 2 experience
• Fully up to date Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of basic English

Desirable:

• Waste experience
