Job summary

Veolia is seeking an HGV driver for Exeter, starting at 04:30 with a 48-hour week. The role involves driving and collecting per Veolia procedures, performing daily vehicle checks, and keeping logs up to date. The position is based in Exeter, EX2 8RF, with occasional weekend work.

Salary is £41,429.28 per annum plus Veolia benefits including 22 days’ annual leave and access to pension and health resources. Training and development opportunities are available as part of ongoing career growth.

Qualifications

• Class 2 (Cat C) licence required.
• Up-to-date CPC / Digi card.
• Strong time management skills.
• Waste Management experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drive on collections following Veolia procedures.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and record defects.
• Ensure daily logs are kept up to date.

What you’ll be doing

• Driving and carrying out collections following Veolia procedures
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle and recording defects as required
• Ensuring all daily logs are kept up to date
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation
• Follow all Veolia H&S Policies and procedures
• Lifting bins of all weights and sizes

What we’re looking for

• Class 2 (Cat C) licence
• Up to date CPC / Digi card
• A can do attitude and strong time management skills
• Previous experience in Waste Management is desirable
