Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our client in the Nottingham area for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C).

Shifts run across Monday to Sunday with Nights (£16.92/hr) and Twilight (£15.43/hr). Training provided; potential for permanent positions after probation. You will transport palletised parcels, handle deliveries, and maintain accurate paperwork while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 or 2 entitlement.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to and from sub depots and delivery units.
• Handling runs with 1-5 delivery stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
• Utilise tail lift and pump truck equipment for loading and unloading.
• Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
• Empty the vehicle and refuel at the end of each shift.
• Complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and then complete a few days paid training if assessment is successful.

Pay Rate:

• Nights - £16.92 per hour
