Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver (CAT C+E) in Nottingham. Roles include collections and deliveries with up to 8 stops, manual handling, and using company software to update delivery status.

Requirements include a full UK licence with C+E, 6 months driving experience, valid DCPC and Tachograph card, and good communication. Ongoing shifts, weekday pattern, with overtime after 40 hours.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient operations and timely collections/deliveries.

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Adhere to traffic laws, regulations and company policies for safety.
• Communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in Nottingham. We are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.

Shifts:

Monday to Friday

Hours :

09:00am start

Pay Rate:

£16.36 per hour PAYE with overtime at £24.54 after 40 hours

The role:

Collections and Deliveries - up to 8 stops

Manual handling required as drivers will assist with loading and unloading parcels at depots and customers locations.

Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient operations and timely Collections / deliveries.

Operating devices and company software to update delivery status and to communicate with the depot.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.

Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.

Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:

Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).

Have at least 6 months of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.

Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.

No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).

Full understanding of WTD legislation.

Excellent communication skills.

A safety-first mindset.
