Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers in Plymouth (PL6) on behalf of a well-known client. Ongoing work with a potential permanent role, night and day shifts available, with paid training after assessment.

You will move palletised parcels between depots, complete required paperwork, and uphold safety standards. Applicants must have a valid UK licence with Cat C, CPC and tachograph, be prepared for a short driving test, and good communication.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 or 2 entitlement.
• Valid and in-date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to and from sub depots and delivery units.
• Handling runs with 1-2 delivery stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
• Utilising tail lift and pump truck equipment for loading and unloading.
• Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
• Empty the vehicle and refuel at the end of each shift.
• Complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and then complete a few days paid training if the assessment is successful.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Plymouth area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.

New Pass Welcome

Shifts:

Shifts run across Monday to Sunday

Start Times:

• Nights - 01:00am
• Days - 12:30pm (Monday to Friday working 5-6 hours guaranteed 27.5 hours)

Pay Rate:

• Nights - £16.16 PAYE
• Days - £15.10PAYE
