Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd (Yorkshire) Limited is recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our client in Nottingham. You will handle collections and deliveries with up to 8 stops, assist with loading, and use company software to update statuses.

Role requires a full UK C+E licence, at least 6 months of relevant driving experience, and a safety-first mindset. Expect a Monday–Friday pattern with 09:00 starts and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (C+E) and valid DCPC/Digital Tachograph card.
• Minimum 6 months proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Understanding of WTD legislation.

Responsibilities

• Collections and Deliveries - up to 8 stops.
• Loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Update delivery status using company software and communicate with the depot.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Adhere to traffic laws and safety policies.
• Coordinate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in Nottingham. We are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.

Shifts:

Monday to Friday

Hours :

09:00am start

Pay Rate:

£16.36 per hour PAYE with overtime at £24.54 after 40 hours

The role:

Collections and Deliveries - up to 8 stops

Manual handling required as drivers will assist with loading and unloading parcels at depots and customers locations.

Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient operations and timely Collections / deliveries.

Operating devices and company software to update delivery status and to communicate with the depot.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.

Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.

Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:

Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).

Have at least 6 months of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
