Job summary

A well-known client in logistics based in Carlisle is seeking multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join their team. The role involves working set shifts, securely transporting palletised parcels, and maintaining safety and professionalism while driving. Candidates must have a full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement, a valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card, and excellent communication skills. Competitive pay rates from £14.60 to £15.61 per hour, with ongoing shifts available.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence for minor offences.
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Prepared to undertake a short driving assessment.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Carlisle area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.

Hours

• Shifts across Monday to Sunday, 01:30am - 06:00am starts
• Twilight Shifts Across Monday to Sunday, 13:00pm- 18:00pm starts (starts for this are from 16th November)

Pay Rate

£14.60 - £15.61 per hour

The role

• Working set shifts with a rota planned in advance
• Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
• Some deliveries/ returns from addresses
• Focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
• Drivers will be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
• Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
