Job summary

Barker Ross is recruiting Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for a temp-to-perm opportunity with a leading national distribution company based in Harlow. You will deliver to hospitals, retailers and other business premises using both cage multi-drop and pallet bulk routes, operating modern DAF and Mercedes vehicles.

Newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply; a driving assessment is required before induction. Permanent contracts offered after 12 weeks with full training and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good customer service skills.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling duties.
• Newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply.
• A driving assessment must be completed before induction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to commercial customers including hospitals, retail stores, convenience stores and other business premises.
• Manage routes with two delivery patterns: multi-drop cage deliveries and bulk pallet deliveries.
• Operate modern DAF and Mercedes vehicles.
• Maintain safe driving practices and professional customer interactions.

Class 2 (Category C) Drivers - Temp to Perm

Barker Ross is recruiting Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity with a leading national distribution company based in Harlow.

This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced and newly qualified Class 2 drivers looking to build a long-term career with a well-established business.

Shift Patterns:

• Monday to Friday (1 in 4 saturday rota)
• Tuesday to Saturday
• Start times between 5:00am and 7:00am
• Temp-to-perm opportunity
• Permanent contract offered after 12 weeks

The Role

• You will be responsible for delivering products to a range of commercial customers, including:
• Hospitals
• Retail stores
• Convenience stores
• Other business premises

There are two types of delivery routes available:

• Multi-Drop Cage Deliveries
  • 10 to 18 deliveries per day
  • Deliveries typically within approximately one hour of the depot
  • Deliveries made using cages
• Bulk Pallet Deliveries
  • 3 to 6 deliveries per day
  • Palletised deliveries
  • Delivery distances vary depending on the route

Vehicles

• Drivers will operate modern DAF and Mercedes vehicles.

Requirements
