Job summary

Driver Hire Northampton Ltd is seeking a Class 2 Driver to join our busy drinks distribution operation in Northampton on a temp-to-perm basis. You will deliver to pubs, bars, restaurants and other hospitality venues across the region, performing multi-drop runs with manual handling.

The role is physically demanding with daily vehicle checks, accurate delivery paperwork, and ensuring high standards of customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph card.
• Previous Class 2 driving experience.
• Good understanding of Driver Hours regulations.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to undertake manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects.
• Completing multi-drop deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Delivering products to pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, and other hospitality customers.
• Loading and unloading stock using appropriate handling equipment.
• Ensuring deliveries are accurate and completed on time.
• Collecting kegs, casks, empties, and other returnable items.
• Maintaining high levels of customer service and professionalism.
• Completing delivery paperwork and electronic proof of delivery records.
• Complying with Driver Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive requirements, and Tachograph legislation.
• Supporting depot and warehouse operations when required.

Our client, a well-established and growing drinks distribution business, is looking to recruit a Class 2 Driver on a Temp to Perm basis to support their busy delivery operation in Northampton.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 2 Driver seeking stable, long-term employment with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

The Role

As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of drinks products to pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, and other licensed trade customers across the region.

This is a physically demanding role involving multi-drop deliveries, manual handling, and regular customer interaction.

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements
