Job summary

Workchain is recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 drivers for temporary, ongoing work based in Brighton. You will perform multi-drop deliveries to retail and hospitality customers, loading/unloading with tail lift, and ensuring accurate POD paperwork while maintaining high service standards.

Starting around 05:30, with advisable 10-hour shifts, the role offers competitive PAYE rates (£17.00–£19.50 per hour), weekly pay, and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 licence is essential.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph card are required.
• Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of Brighton and surrounding areas.
• Strong work ethic and reliability are a must.
• Physically fit for manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Multi-drop deliveries to retail and hospitality customers.
• Loading and unloading using tail lift and pump truck.
• Ensure accurate and timely deliveries and complete POD paperwork.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.

Join a well-established national wholesale distributor supporting the food, retail and hospitality sectors across the UK. We’re recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers for temporary, ongoing work based in Brighton, delivering goods to commercial customers in a professional and efficient manner.

Benefits

• Competitive hourly rate – £17.00 - £19.50p/hr PAYE

Role & Responsibilities

Required Skills & Experience

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience preferred
• Good knowledge of Brighton and surrounding areas
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Physically fit due to manual handling requirements
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DR/DD/IN endorsements)
