Job summary

Awi Civitas is seeking reliable HGV Class 2 drivers for regional pallet network and trade distribution. Expect 45–50 hours weekly, Monday–Friday day shifts with 06:00/07:00 starts, and immediate starts after induction and driving assessment.

Role involves safe operation of rigid curtain-side and box vehicles across Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Norfolk, plus daily pre-trip checks, load securing, PODs, and customer-facing deliveries.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 licence with CPC qualification
• 6–12 months commercial Class 2 driving experience preferred
• Maximum 6 penalty points
• Professional emphasis on safety, punctual deliveries and customer-facing attitude

Responsibilities

• Drive regional pallet network routes with rigid curtain-side/box vehicles
• Deliver palletised goods across Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Norfolk
• Perform mandatory daily pre-trip checks and tail-lift operations
• Ensure safe loading, correct use of pumps and tachographs, and accurate PODs

We are seeking reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for regional pallet network, multi-drop, and trade distribution operations. This role offers guaranteed shift hours and dependable long-term stability with temp-to-perm pathways for dedicated drivers.

Key Details & Responsibilities

• Hours: 45 – 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday day shifts, standard 06:00/07:00 starts)
• Start Date: Immediate starts available following standard site induction and driving assessment
• Safe Transport: Rigid curtain-side and box vehicle operations, delivering palletised freight, retail goods, and commercial supplies across Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, and Norfolk
• Vehicle & Tail-Lift Checks: Conducting mandatory daily pre-trip walk-around safety inspections and testing tail-lift operations
• Compliance: Ensuring safe load strapping, correct use of pump trucks/tail lifts, and strict adherence to EU Drivers’ Hours and digital tachograph rules
• Documentation: Accurate handling of electronic consignment notes, customer signatures, and Proof of Delivery (POD) confirmations

Requirements

• Licence & Cards: Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence, Driver CPC qualification card, and Digital Tachograph card
• Experience: Minimum 6–12 months commercial Class 2 driving experience preferred (prior multi-drop or tail-lift experience advantageous)
• Clean Record: Maximum 6 penalty points (strictly no DR/DD/IN endorsement codes)
• Professional Standards: High commitment to road safety, punctual timed deliveries, and a courteous customer-facing attitude
