Job summary

Driver Hire in Horley is seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver to join a well-established local operation delivering logs, coal and kindling to domestic households.

You will work Monday to Friday from around 6:00am, with occasional light commercial work, loading and unloading at customer premises, and a temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 2 licence (LGV Cat C)
• Must have CPC and digital tachograph card
• Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries is an advantage
• Physically fit for loading/unloading
• Reliable, punctual and professional
• Able to work independently and manage daily deliveries

Responsibilities

• Deliver logs, coal and kindling to domestic households and some small businesses
• Start around 6:00am, Monday to Friday, with consistent hours
• Load and unload products at customer premises and ensure safe handling
• Provide a professional service and manage delivery schedule efficiently
• Occasional commercial deliveries as required

Pay: £19.00 per hour

Hours: Monday – Friday, starting at approximately 6:00am

Position: Temp to Perm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 Driver to join a well-established company based in Horley, delivering logs, coal and kindling to customers across the local area.

The majority of deliveries are made to domestic households, with occasional commercial deliveries also required.

The Role

• Monday to Friday work
• Start times are usually around 6:00am
• Delivering logs, coal and kindling
• Predominantly residential deliveries, with some commercial work
• Loading and unloading products at customer premises
• Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and efficiently

The Ideal Candidate

• Hold a valid Class 2 (LGV Cat C) licence
• Have a valid CPC and digital tachograph card
• Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries would be an advantage
• Physically fit, as the role involves loading/unloading and handling products
• Reliable, punctual and professional
• Comfortable working independently and managing a daily delivery schedule
