Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Lutterworth area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team on weekends.

You will work weekend shifts with start times early morning, handle palletised goods, load/unload with tail lift, and maintain accurate documentation while providing professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
• DCPC and Digital Tachograph card valid and in date.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Understanding of WTD legislation.

Responsibilities

• Safely handling and conveying palletised packages to sub depots.
• Loading and unloading of the vehicle using tail lift and pump truck.
• Engaging with customers while upholding a professional image on behalf of the company.
• Maintain accurate documentation and safe driving practices.

Shifts:

• Weekend Day Drivers - predominately Sunday but potential for Saturdays.


• Start times between 04:00am - 06:00am


• Night shift 01:00am


• Twilight shift 14:00pm

Pay Rate:

• Class 2 Days- £15.11 per hour PAYE


• Class 2 Nights - £16.92 per hour PAYE


• Class 2 Twilight - £16.02 Per hour PAYE

Job Type:

Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.

The role:

Safely handling and conveying palletised packages to sub depots.

Emphasizing safe driving practices and ensuring precise documentation.

Typically completing 1 to 2 runs during the day.

Drivers will need to contribute to the loading and unloading of the vehicle, utilising a tail lift and pump truck.

Engaging with customers while upholding a professional and polite image on behalf of the company.

Requirements:

Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).

Have proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.

Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.

No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).

Full understanding of WTD legislation.

Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.

Excellent communication skills.
