Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our client in the Normanton area for HGV Class 2 drivers. We have multiple positions with ongoing work and potential permanent for right candidates. Shifts include Friday 23:59, Sunday 5:00 and Sunday 23:59 with day rates £14.60ph and night rates £15.61ph.

Location: WF10. Roles involve secure palletised transport, paperwork, and safe driving. Applicants must hold a valid Class 2 license, DCPC, Tachograph card, and comply with WTD regulations;

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement.
• DCPC valid and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Understanding of WTD legislation.
• Willing to undertake a short driving assessment.

Responsibilities

• Securely move palletised parcels to couriers or collect from delivery units.
• Handle runs with emphasis on safe driving and accurate paperwork.
• Assist with loading/unloading using tail lift and pump truck when required.
• Interact with customers and represent the company professionally.

The role:

• Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.


• Handling runs, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.


• Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.


• Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).


• Valid and in-date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.


• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).


• Full understanding of WTD legislation.


• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
