Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd (Yorkshire) Limited currently seeks HGV Class 2 Drivers for our client in the Normanton area (WF10). Shifts include day and night schedules with pay rates of £14.60 per hour (days) and £15.61 per hour (nights).

The role involves transporting palletised parcels, handling runs, and assisting with loading/unloading as required. Candidates must hold a valid Class 2 licence, DCPC, and digital tachograph card, with up to six points.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Understanding of Working Time Directive (WTD).
• Willingness to undertake a short driving assessment.
• Excellent communication skills and safety‑mirst mindset.

Responsibilities

Shifts:

Friday 23:59pm

Sunday 5am

Sunday 23:59pm

Pay Rate:

Class 2

Days - £14.60ph

Nights - £15.61ph

The role:

• Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.


• Handling runs, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.


• Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.


• Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).


• Valid and in-date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
