Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Class 1 HGV Driver in Crewe, commutable from the North West. You will be responsible for trunking between depots, maintaining paperwork, and adhering to hours and regulations.

The role involves on‑time deliveries with a professional service, daily vehicle checks, and occasional training duties for HGV staff. A strong safety mindset and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence required.
• Current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Solid understanding of UK driver hours and tachograph regulations.
• Reliable, punctual and safety‑conscious approach to work.
• Experience in a training role is desirable.
• Passion for training and improving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled trunking runs between distribution centres, customer depots and Local Stores.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure compliance with road transport regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery and transport documentation.
• Adhere to driver hours, Working Time Directive and company procedures.
• Deliver a professional and courteous service while representing the company.
• Delivery training as and when required to HGV staff members.

Pay Rate: £40,077 + £3,000 Additional responsibility Allowance

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift patterns: Monday - Friday – 04:00am start times
