Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Class 1 Day Driver to cover Tuesday to Saturday, based in Marsh Leys, Bedford. The role offers a starting pay rate of £46,658 per year for a 48-hour week, with breaks paid. Permanent full-time contract with training and a range of employee benefits.

The position involves collecting and delivering boxes across sites, driving safely under Hours regulations, and maintaining vehicle standards. Training will be provided for wagon and drag duties.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 licence (C+E), Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Must have 6 months recent Class 1 driving experience.
• Wagon and drag experience is advantageous; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver to home delivery sites across the south of England.
• Drive safely and efficiently in line with Drivers’ Hours regulations.
• Adhere to health and safety standards and The Highway Code.
• Complete vehicle checks regularly.
• Manually handle customer products.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Duties will be on a wagon and draw vehicle - training provided
• Collection and delivery and collection of boxes at various home delivery sites across the south of England
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Regular completion of vehicle checks
• Manual handling of customer products
