Job summary

Staffline is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for a food distribution client in Telford. This role involves operating moving deck and refrigerated trailers, with store deliveries and manual handling. Average shifts are around 12 hours with start times between 21:00 and 01:00, and 11:00-15:00. Paid weekly with rates from £16.13 to £21.33 per hour.

Assessment is paid if successful. Free car parking on site and ad hoc weekend work may be available depending on availability.

Job description

Staffline is currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for our client's food distribution client based in Telford.

With the latest vehicles on the market, this gives you the best HGV experience and a top-range vehicle to work with! Assessment Required (Paid if successful).

Start times are between 21:00pm - 01:00am & 11:00am - 15:00pm. Average hours 12 hours per shift. Normally, one store per run + collection, some long-distance deliveries. Some required pallet back door into the store delivery.

Consolidated Pay Rates (Paid Weekly)

• Weekdays £16.13 per hour
• Weeknights £17.17 per hour
• Saturday day £19.25 per hour
• Saturday night £20.29 per hour
• Sunday days £20.29 per hour
• Sunday nights £21.33 per hour

Various shift patterns & Adhoc work available with various start times, including weekends if available.

Your Time at Work

As a HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be operating both moving deck trailers as well as standard refrigerated trailers. Store deliveries and manual handling are involved. Restack is required at some depots.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will have 6 months of driving experience, a CPC card, and a tacho card.

Experience in a similar role is required.
