Job summary

Staffline is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers in Heywood. Earn hourly rates from £15.38 weekdays up to £20.60 on weekends, with consolidated rates from £17.23–£20.60. Roles are day shifts Tue–Fri, with start times between 2am–6am.

Applicants must have a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, CPC & Tacho cards and at least 6 months of HGV Class 1 driving experience, with no more than 6 points and no DD/DR convictions.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence and CPC & Tacho cards.
• Minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience, with no more than 6 points.
• Understand and comply with driver hours and WTD legislation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and logbooks per policy and law.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE as required.

Staffline is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers in Heywood.

Rates of pay:

• Weekday £15.38 per hour
• Weeknight £17.42 per hour
• Saturday £17.94 per hour
• Sunday £18.45 per hour

Consolidated rates from £17.23 - £20.60.

This role offers day shifts working Tuesday to Friday, start times are between 2am - 6am.

Your Time at Work

• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Following all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will have excellent communication skills and be able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.

Applicants will comply with on-site health and safety requirements. You will understand and be able to comply with the driver's hours and WTD legislation.

You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, DCPC & Tacho cards and have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience with no more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions.
