Job summary

Staffline is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers in Harworth. Consolidated pay rates of £16.13-£32.16 per hour, with ongoing adhoc shifts and temp-to-perm opportunities.

You will be responsible for RDCs, factory collections and container operations, including some chilled food deliveries, and will perform vehicle checks and maintain required records while adhering to health and safety rules.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 Licence (C+E) with CPC and Tacho.
• Minimum 12 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate RDCs, factory collections and container work, with some chilled food deliveries.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, logs and paperwork per policy and law.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE as required.

Your Time at Work

As an HGV Class 1 Driver you will be responsible for:

• - RDC's, factory collections and container operations, along with some chilled food deliveries


• - Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness


• - Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.


• - Following all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will have excellent communication skills and be able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.

Applicants will comply with on-site health and safety requirements. You will understand and be able to comply with driver's hours and WTD legislation

You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, CPC & Tacho cards and have a minimum of 12 months HGV Class 1 driving experience with no more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions.
