Job summary

Staffline is recruiting for an HGV Class 1 driver at our Cannock depot. You will be delivering for a number of customers, conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintain accurate delivery records in line with legal requirements.

You must have a valid HGV 1/C+E licence, DCPC and Tachograph cards, and at least 6 months of Class 1 experience with no more than 6 points. Competitive hourly rates and 24/7 on-site support are provided.

Qualifications

• You must hold a valid HGV 1/C+E licence with no more than 6 points.
• DCPC and Tachograph cards are required.
• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and logbooks.
• Follow health and safety rules and PPE usage.

Consolidated pay rates, £16.25 - £22.99 per hour.

Adhoc work available with various start times.

Your Time at Work

• General Haulage depot, delivering for a number of customers. Ambient work trunked into depot for onward delivery.
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Following all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Applicants will comply with on-site health and safety requirements. You will understand and be able to comply with the driver's hours and WTD legislation

You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, DCPC & Tacho cards and have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience with no more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions.
