Job summary

EVRi International in Teesside is seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver for a permanent, 45-hour week. You will drive a modern Volvo truck, with shifts including days (07:00–17:00) and nights (Sunday–Friday; start times vary).

The role offers a stable schedule and being part of the UK’s premier parcel delivery network. Most sites operate Monday to Friday with 9-hour shifts and a focus on timely trunking to regional hubs.

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving licence is required.
• Driver CPC qualification card is required.
• DCPC training hours completed or in progress.
• Excellent knowledge of Road Transport Laws and safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Drive a lorry from a modern Volvo fleet and ensure timely deliveries.
• Plan routes and work with 9-hour shifts; be home at the end of each shift.
• Inspect vehicle and trailer daily; complete Defect Report if needed.
• Some sites require loading/unloading; operate pallet trucks where needed.

WhatYou’llDo:

You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old.They’rea joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leatherseatsand many more optional extras to make sureyou’recomfortable.

Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and9-hourshifts per day which typically start at5/6pm. Our well-organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance whereyou’llbe driving, taking the stress out of your day.

Key Role Responsibilities

Wedon’tmicromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes.This job involves trunking to regional hubs on the night shift. So, if you like the independence of being out on the open road for long stretches - but also want to be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift, this is the job for you.

You’llmake sure Cages, Pallets, Freight, Stillages and Yorks get to and from customers bang on time.At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you - at others,you’llneed to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day.

You’llbe responsible forinspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.
