Evri in Thames Valley is seeking a HGV Driver Class 1 Bulk to join our permanent team. You will drive a Volvo tractor unit from a modern fleet, with fridges and leather seats, on a 45-hour week, Monday to Friday, typically starting around 7–8am.
This role requires a Class 1 licence, a Driver CPC card and completion of DCPC training hours or progress toward them, plus strong knowledge of Road Transport Laws and safe driving practices.

You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old.They're a joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leatherseatsand many more optional extras to make sureyou're comfortable.
Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and 9-hour shifts per day which typically start at 7/8am. Our well-organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance whereyou'll be driving, taking the stress out of your day.
Wedon't micromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes. The average number of stops in a shift is 4 to 6, sothere's plenty of time to enjoy being out on the open road - but you'll still be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift.
You'll make sure Cages, Pallets, Freight, Stillages and Yorks get to and from customers bang on time. At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you - at others,you'll need to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day.
You'll be responsible for inspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.
