Job summary

Blue Arrow HS is seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our Preston depot on a pre-booked, ongoing contract. You will operate on a 24/7 schedule with average 12-hour shifts, primarily trunk runs to Midlands hubs with no multi-drop, using a modern fleet and telematics.

Applicants must have a UK Class C+E licence, CPC and tachograph card, and a minimum of 12 months HGV Class 1 experience. A clean licence with <=6 points is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months HGV Class 1 experience.
• Full UK Class C+E Licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 points on licence; no DR/DG/CD/DD/BA.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parcels with straight trunk to Midlands hubs; no multi-drop.
• Operate in a 24-7 shift pattern with average 12-hour shifts.

Pay Rates

• Monday - Thursday: £18.15ph and £25.25ph OT after 8 hours
• Friday: £18.15ph until midnight, £23.52ph after and £25.25ph OT after 8 hours
• Saturday: £23.52ph until midnight, £26.25ph after and £25.25ph OT after 8 hours
• Sunday: £26.25ph until midnight, £18.15ph after and £25.25ph OT after 8 hours

45 minute break deducted daily and rates increase after 12 weeks service

Shift Patterns

• Shifts: Operation runs 24-7 Monday to Sunday
• Average Shift Length: 12 hours
• Start times vary between 14:00 - 20:00 depending on weekly requirements
• Pre-booked rota for better planning

Job Role

• Workload: Straight trunk to hub and back

Requirements
