Job summary

Blue Arrow is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for a Carlisle-based role delivering parcels to Midlands hubs with a pre-booked rota and predictable hours.

The position requires a Full UK Class C+E licence, CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, plus a minimum 12 months of Class 1 experience. Onsite parking and a structured environment support work-life balance.

• Minimum 12 months' HGV Class 1 experience
• Data available on tachograph card displaying work over last 6 months
• We cannot accept more than 6 points or DR/DG/CD/DD/BA on a licence.

Responsibilities

• Drive parcels to Midlands hubs on a trunk schedule
• No multi-drop deliveries; back-to-base runs handled
• Maintain compliance with tachograph and driving hours

Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver

Contract Type: Pre-booked, ongoing

Positions Available: 5

Location: Carlise, CA6

Pay Rates

• Monday - Friday: £18.15ph until midnight, £23.52ph after and £25.25ph OT after 8 hours
• Saturday: £23.52ph until midnight, £26.25ph after and £25.25ph OT after 8 hours
• Sunday: £26.25ph until midnight, £18.15ph after and £26.25ph OT after 8 hours

45 minute break deducted daily and rates increase after 12 weeks service

Shift Patterns

• Shifts: Operation runs 24-7 Monday to Sunday
• Average Shift Length: 12 hours
• Start times vary between 14:00 - 20:00 depending on weekly requirements
• Pre-booked rota for better planning

Job Role

• Workload: Straight trunk to hub and back
• No multi-drop
