Staffline in Barnsley is seeking HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our client for day shifts. The role features modern vehicles and a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

You will conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, keep accurate logbooks and paperwork, and adhere to driver hours and WTD rules. Various start times and ad hoc work provide flexibility.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV 1/C+E licence and CPC & Tacho cards.
• Experience with daily vehicle checks and logbooks.
• Good communication and adherence to safety rules.

Responsabilités

Staffline is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers to work Days in

Barnsley.

The rate of pay is:

• - Weekday
• £16.06 per hour
• £16.95 per hour
• - Saturday
• £19.63 per hour
• - Sunday
• £21.41 per hour

This role offers ad hoc work available with various start times.

Your Time at Work

As an HGV Class 1 Driver you will be responsible for:

• - Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness
• - Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• - Following all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will have excellent communication skills and be able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.

Applicants will comply with on-site health and safety requirements. You will understand and be able to comply with the driver's hours and WTD legislation

You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, DCPC & Tacho cards and have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience with no more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions.
