Job summary

Staffline is hiring for HGV Class 1 drivers in Milton Keynes. The role involves delivering and collecting to/from RDCs, conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and keeping accurate delivery records in line with company policies and legal requirements.

You must have a valid HGV 1/C+E licence, DCPC and Tachograph cards, at least 6 months Class 1 driving experience, and no more than 6 points with no DD/DR convictions.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to understand and carry out vehicle checks to ensure safety.
• Candidates must hold HGV 1/C+E licence and DCPC & Tachograph cards.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting to/from RDCs and fridge work.
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs.
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Following all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of PPE and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Consolidated Pay Rates (Paid Weekly)

The rate of pay is £19.50 to £24.00 per hour.

Fixed shift patterns and ad hoc work available.

Your Time at Work

• Delivering and collecting to/from RDC's and fridge work
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Following all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will have excellent communication skills and be able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.

Applicants will comply with on-site health and safety requirements. You will understand and be able to comply with the driver's hours and WTD legislation.

You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, DCPC & Tacho cards and have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience with no more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions.
