Job summary

Evri in Enfield is seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver - Bulk to join our premier parcel delivery network. You will operate a modern Volvo fleet, enjoy 9-hour shifts, and a 45-hour week, with a London weighting allowance of £1,500 per year. Qualifications

• Must hold a Class 1 driving licence.
• Driver CPC qualification card.
• Completed required DCPC training hours or working towards them.
• Excellent knowledge of Road Transport Laws and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Drive a lorry from our fleet of Volvo vehicles.
• Work on 9-hour shifts, with 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
• Assist with loading/unloading as needed and drive pallets/trucks where required.
• Inspect vehicle and trailer daily and complete a Defect Report if necessary.
• Ensure on-time delivery to customers and plan routes efficiently.

WhatYou’llDo:

You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old.They’rea joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leatherseatsand many more optional extras to make sureyou’recomfortable.

Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and 9-hour shifts per day. Our well-organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance where you’ll be driving, taking the stress out of your day.

Key Role Responsibilities

Wedon’tmicromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes. The average number of stops in a shift is 4 to 6, sothere’splenty of time to enjoy being out on the open road - butyou’llstill be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift.

You’llmake sure Cages, Pallets, Freight, Stillages and Yorks get to and from customers bang on time. At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you - at others,you’llneed to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day.

You’llbe responsible forinspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.
