Evri Group in Cardiff is seeking a Linehaul Driver for a permanent role with a 45-hour week and night shifts from Monday to Friday. You’ll operate a modern Volvo tractor unit with on‑board fridges and comfort features, delivering reliable overnight trunk routes to regional hubs.

You will be responsible for safe vehicle checks, loading/unloading where required, scanning consignments, and planning your own routes to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving licence required.
• Driver CPC qualification card required.
• DCPC training hours completed or in progress.
• Excellent knowledge of road transport laws and safe driving practices.

Responsabilités

WhatYou’llDo:

You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old. They’re a joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leather seats and many more optional extras to make sure you’re comfortable.

Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and 9-hour shifts per day which typically start at 5/6pm. Our well‑organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance where you’ll be driving, taking the stress out of your day.

Key Role Responsibilities

We don’t micromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes. This job involves trunking to regional hubs on the night shift. So, if you like the independence of being out on the open road for long stretches - but also want to be home again at the end of every 9‑hour shift, this is the job for you.

You’ll make sure Cages, Pallets, Freight, Stillages and Yorks get to and from customers bang on time. At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you - at others, you’ll need to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day.

You’ll be responsible for inspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.
