Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our client in Carrington, Greater Manchester. This role offers £17.00 per hour, Monday-to-Friday early morning starts (04:00–07:00), weekly pay, and ongoing work with a leading logistics business.

Shifts are approximately 10 hours, with comprehensive training and support provided to help you perform confidently and professionally on trunking and deliveries.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid UK Category CE (Class 1) Driving Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences.
• No major endorsements (DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Completing trunking and drop-and-swap duties.
• Operating curtain-sided vehicles and trailers.
• Securing loads using straps where required.
• Taking photographs to document successful deliveries.
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations.
• Reporting customer concerns promptly to management.
• Completing vehicle checks before and after shifts.
• Reporting vehicle defects and maintenance issues.
• Complying with drivers' hours, tachograph and road transport regulations.

People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Carrington, Greater Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering £17.00 per hour, Monday-to-Friday working, early morning starts, weekly pay and ongoing work with a leading logistics business.

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver or HGV Trunking Driver.

Shifts

• Monday to Friday
• AM start times between 04:00 - 07:00
• Approximately 10-hour shifts
