Job summary

The Recruit UK is seeking LGV1/HGV1 drivers to work out of Manchester. The role involves driving Class 1 vehicles with curtain-sided or box trailers, making UK deliveries and collections. No loading/unloading required; loads must be strapped and secured. Night shift patterns are available with ongoing work and potential permanent positions.

Pay is £17.00 per hour or £19.05 including holiday pay. Part-time flexi options can be accommodated; applications from suitable candidates are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CAT CE Licence, CPC Card and Digi Tacho Card.
• No more than 6 points on your licence for minor convictions.
• Strong communication and reliability required.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV/HGV Class 1 vehicles (Curtain side/Box trailers).
• Deliveries and collections across the UK.
• Ensure loads are strapped and secured; no loading/unloading required.

Job description

Due to continued growth in workload Recruit are currently looking for LGV1, HGV1, Class 1 drivers to work out of our client based in Manchester. The work involved is mainly general haulage, various night shift patterns.

Pay is - £17.00 per hour OR £19.05 INCLUDING HOLIDAY PAY

Job Role:

• Driving a LGV HGV Class 1 Vehicle with Curtain sided or Box Trailers
• Making deliveries and collections in a Class 1 vehicle across the UK
• No loading or unloading required but you will need to ensure the load is strapped and secured

This is on-going work for suitable candidates, permanent positions will be available, and we can also accommodate part time flexi work patterns if required

Our client is a well-known company and offers excellent rates of pay

• £17ph
• £19ph Overtime
• £50 individually to each Driver

In return the ideal candidate must have the following:

• A valid CAT CE Licence,
• CPC Card,
• Digi Tacho Card,
• Excellent communication skills,
• No less than 1 years' experience,
• Own Transport or able to get to Manchester,
• No more than 6 points on your licence for minor convictions,
• Unfortunately we do not accept any licences showing DR or IN convictions for insurance purposes.
