Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting for HGV Class 1 Driver roles based in Burton on Trent. You will perform store deliveries and cage work with potential night shifts, receiving excellent pay and consistent Monday-to-Friday work.

The role requires a UK Category CE licence, CPC card, and Digital Tachograph card, plus at least two years of Class 1 experience. Permanent opportunities available for the right candidates with a friendly, modern fleet.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid UK Category CE Licence.
• Requires a valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum of 2 years continuous Class 1 driving experience.
• No major endorsement codes and limited penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating Category C+E vehicles, completing multi-drop deliveries to stores and collecting returns where appropriate.
• Handling palletised goods and cages.
• Night deliveries with air lock process.
• Making timely deliveries to various destinations and communicating with the transport team.
• Adhering to company policies, safety regulations and driving/time directives.

HGV Class 1 Driver - Store Deliveries and Cage work (predominantly double decker trailers) Days or Night Shifts available - Burton up on Trent

People Solutionsare currently recruiting forHGV Class 1 Driversto join our well-established client based in Burton on Trent. You will be workingin Burton on Trent.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, consistent Monday to Friday work, and long-term opportunities for the right candidates. There is also an incentive bonus of up to £550 for the forthcoming peak period.

This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as anLGV Class 1 Driver,Category CE DriverorArticulated Lorry Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £22.25 per hour (Midnight - 11.59am)
• £24.25 per hour (12.00pm - 23.59pm)
• £26.85 per hour (Saturdays)
• £28.25 per hour (Sundays / B/H)

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• AM and PM shifts available
• Start times between 01:00 and 04:00 or 17:00 and 19:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as anHGV Class 1 Driverare:

• Safely operating Category C+E vehicles, completing multidrop deliveries to stores and collecting returns where appropriate

• Communicating effectively with the transport team
• Adhering to company policies, procedures and safety regulations
• Ensuring full compliance with driving laws and working time directives

Essential Skills:

To be successful as anHGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category CE Licence
• A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• A minimum of 2 years' continuous Class 1 driving experience
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
• No major endorsement codes
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• A professional and reliable attitude

Training:

• Driving assessment required prior to start
• Full industry-related training and ongoing support
