Job summary

Staffline is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers to work in Carlisle. With the latest vehicles on the market, this gives you the best HGV experience and a top range vehicle to work with.

The Consolidated Pay Rates (Paid Weekly) are £14.56 - £20.99 per hour. You will conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain records, and adhere to health and safety regulations. A valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, CPC & Tachograph cards, and at least 6 months of experience with no more than 6 points are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to understand and carry out vehicle checks to ensure safety.
• Compliance with drivers hours and working time regulations.

Responsibilities

Various shift patterns & Adhoc work available with various start times.

Your Time at Work

• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Following all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Our perfect worker will have excellent communication skills and be able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.

Applicants will comply with on-site health and safety requirements. You will understand and be able to comply with the driver's hours and WTD legislation

You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, DCPC & Tacho cards and have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience with no more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions.
