Qualifications

• Requires valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 points on licence and no DD/DR convictions.
• Excellent communication and a strong focus on vehicle safety and compliance.
• Flexible 5-day week patterns, including nights.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and paperwork per policy and law.
• Follow health and safety procedures, PPE use, and site safety rules.
• Adhere to Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations and drivers’ hours.

Rates of pay:

• Monday - Friday days £16.06
• Monday - Friday nights £16.95
• Saturday £19.63
• Sunday £21.41
• Night out payment £25.00 per night out
• Tax free meal allowance daily

AM and PM tramping - flexible 5 days a week shift patterns, on going work. General haulage, cages, multidrop and store deliveries.

Your Time at Work

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness.
• Maintaining accurate delivery records, logbooks, and paperwork in line with company policy and legal requirements.
• Following all health and safety procedures, including PPE use and site safety compliance.
• Ensuring adherence to driver's hours and Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations..

Our perfect worker will have excellent communication skills and be able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.

• Maintain a professional attitude and commitment to safe driving at all times.
