Job summary

Staffline is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers in Harworth for ongoing adhoc shifts and temp-to-perm opportunities. You will handle RDCs, factory collections and container work, performing pre-trip and post-trip checks and maintaining delivery records to comply with policy and law.

You should have a valid HGV 1/C+E licence with CPC & Tachograph cards and at least 12 months driving experience, with up to 6 points and no DD/DR convictions. Competitive hourly rates are offered.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to read and understand vehicle checks.
• Ability to conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects accurately.
• A good understanding of driver hours and WTD legislation.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles for RDCs, factory collections and occasional container deliveries.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects or maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, logbooks and paperwork in line with company policy and legal requirements.
• Follow all safety procedures and use PPE as required.

As an HGV Class 1 Driver you will be responsible for:

• RDC's, factory collections and container operations, along with some chilled food deliveries
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Following all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will have excellent communication skills and be able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.

Applicants will comply with on-site health and safety requirements. You will understand and be able to comply with driver's hours and WTD legislation

You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, CPC & Tacho cards and have a minimum of 12 months HGV Class 1 driving experience with no more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions.
