About the role

HGV Class 1 Driver on day or night shifts for immediate starts in Luton. Pure Staff is recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver for our client in Luton on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, starting ASAP.

Pay

• Days Mon to Fri: £17.00
• Nights Mon to Fri: £18.00
• Saturday Days: £18.00
• Saturday Nights: £19.00
• Sunday Days: £18.50
• Sunday Nights: £19.50
• Christmas Eve Day: £18.50
• Christmas Eve Night: £19.50
• Boxing Day Day Shift: £18.50
• Boxing Day Night Shift: £19.50

The above rates do not include holiday pay; holiday pay is paid separately when you book holiday.

Your hourly pay rate is £17 and you accrue £2.05 per hour in holiday pay for every hour worked, which is banked and paid when you take annual leave.

Working arrangements

Start times vary between 2 am and 12 pm on days, and 4 pm to 12 am on nights.

Shifts can be long but, in keeping with tachograph laws, they will be up to 10–12 hours per shift on average.

Duties

• Trunking runs on day shifts to a variety of clients, with self‑tip for some.
• Container work on night shifts.
• 10–14 hour days, weekdays and weekends.
• Customer requires Monday to Friday shifts; no weekend work.

Requirements

• Valid HGV C + E Class 1 Driving Licence.
• Minimum 2 years experience.

• Valid Digital Card.
• Clean driving licence with no more than 6 points (no TT, TS, MS, DR, DD codes).
