Job summary

Nottingham City Council is recruiting a Heritage Visitor Assistant to welcome visitors at Wollaton Hall & Deer Park and Newstead Abbey, delivering excellent service across catering, shops, museums and cleaning areas. The role supports safe, high-quality visitor experiences in a historic setting.

The ideal candidate has museum/visitor attraction, cafe or retail experience, and can work evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Physical tasks are required; hybrid working may apply where suitable.

Qualifications

• Experience in museum/visitor attraction, cafes or retail, delivering activities to meet customer needs.
• Able to work across all sites and during evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Must be able to undertake a varied role with physical tasks.

• Provide a warm welcome to visitors across sites.
• Deliver outstanding customer service in catering, shops, museums and other areas.
• Ensure facilities and assets are safe and presented to a high standard.
