The Opportunity…

We require a Heritage Consultant to join the Historic Environment team, based at One Centenary Way in Birmingham; this is a full‑time permanent role. The role sits within the multidisciplinary Climate and Sustainability Services team that currently comprises almost 50 members in the Midlands and 360 across the UK. Our projects are located throughout the UK, and the role will require occasional travel to otherCube offices and for project related activities.

The role will include writing Historic Environment Desk Based Assessments, undertaking site and archive visits, and contributing to Historic Environment Environmental Statement chapters. You will be expected to work with colleagues across a wide range of disciplines to achieve project objectives. This role requires élégance to have Full UK Driving License as you will to travel to locations beyond the Midlands Region.

Is this role right for you?

We are looking for people with:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or master’s degree in Archaeology or related subject; and Membership (PCIfA minimum, ACIfA preferred) of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists.
  • Some knowledge of the UK legislative framework and policy and its practical application to projects affecting the historic environment.
  • Knowledge of undertaking Historic Environment DBA, orញSimilar reports.
  • Assured user of GIS (ArcGIS preferred) and dataset manipulation.
