Job summary

FedEx is seeking a self-motivated Vehicle Maintenance Technician in Belfast to service and maintain our fleet, ensuring safety, legality and reliability. The role operates 40 hours weekly with a shift 08:00–16:30.

Base pay is £21.70 per hour, with premium pay for evening and night hours. You will work on a variety of trucks and trailers and support MOT preparations to pass first time.

Qualifications

• Fully skilled with LGV C&E licence and City & Guilds Part 1/2 or equivalent in commercial vehicle repairs.
• Knowledge of automotive equipment, testing and troubleshooting tools.
• Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy vehicle components.
• Welding and basic DC electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Must hold a valid driving licence and have prior experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Complete service and inspection records as required.
• Prepare vehicles and trailers for MOT testing to first-time pass standards.
• Perform ad-hoc vehicle repairs and rectify defects.
• Use tools and equipment safely and maintain good housekeeping.
• Carry out duties as reasonably directed by management.
