Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Heavy Goods Vehicle Maintenance Technician at the Vehicle Maintenance Unit in Newcastle-under-Lyme. You will service and maintain the company fleet to ensure safety and reliability, following planned schedules and legal requirements.

The role is a nights shift, 40 hours per week, with a base pay of £21.70 per hour plus additional premiums for late-evening and night hours. Applicants should have LGV C&E licence and City & Guilds parts 1 & 2, and be able to work safely with all

Qualifications

• Fully skilled with applicable licenses / vocational training.
• Experience in maintenance of heavy goods vehicles and trailers.
• Ability to read service/inspection records and defect reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and maintenance on FedEx fleet.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing to ensure first-time pass.
• Carry out ad-hoc repairs and investigate defects.
• Maintain safe use of tools and equipment.
• Keep accurate maintenance records.
