Job summary

Brett Aggregates, part of the Brett Group, invites applications for a Site Operative at our Hithermoor facility in Staines. You will operate heavy mobile plant, manage stockpiles and load vehicles, ensuring safe, efficient site operation.

Qualifications

• Experience operating wheeled loading shovels or 360° excavators in heavy industry.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, environment and quality standards.
• Experience inspecting and maintaining heavy plant and equipment.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
• Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Willing to undertake training, including QCF Mobile Plant Operations if not held.

Responsibilities

• Operate wheeled loading shovel and/or 360° excavator safely and efficiently.
• Load customer vehicles and company HGVs with recycled aggregates and materials.
• Manage and maintain aggregate stockpiles.
• Support the safe, compliant and efficient running of the site.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in line with policies and regulations.
• Monitor plant performance and carry out routine inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Work with colleagues, customers, suppliers and contractors to ensure smooth site operations.
• Act as a key contact for inbound/outbound material movements.
• Promote a positive safety culture and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and add value.
