A leading healthcare provider in Bristol is seeking a compassionate Healthcare Support Worker for their Intensive Care Unit. In this role, you will assist registered nurses in providing personal care and support to patients. The position requires effective communication skills and a commitment to patient dignity. An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Healthcare Support Worker in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Our ICU is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art 48-bedded unit within one of the UK’s first £450 million super-hospitals, achieving excellent outcomes including some of the highest trauma survival rates in the country. A Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) is a core member of the team delivering personal care to patients and supporting registered practitioners to deliver high quality, compassionate care. You will carry out a range of non-clinical healthcare tasks, under the direct supervision of the registered healthcare practitioner. Your role is to provide compassionate care, to agreed quality standards and in accordance with Trust values.
There will be opportunities to develop knowledge and skills specific to your individual needs. Training will be provided to ensure you have the required core skills and skills set specific to your area of work. You will also be supported to obtain your care certificate if you do not have this qualification. Note: due to UK Home Office rules, we are not able to offer skilled worker sponsorship on this role.
