A healthcare trust providing community services seeks a care assistant to work under the supervision of registered nurses in a prison environment. The successful candidate will assist with patient care, maintain confidentiality, and follow Trust policies. A NVQ Level 2 in care is required along with effective communication skills and the ability to work within a team. This position offers £24,465 annually, supporting a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Under the supervision of, and support of, a registered nurse the post holder will carry out delegated tasks for those patients requiring healthcare services within the prison environment.
The prisoners, by their nature, may be unpredictable, have complex needs or be vulnerable, and so can present with varying degrees of challenging behaviour, requiring excellent communication skills. Crisis can present at any time and without warning - demanding the post holder to assist / manage in crisis situations.
