Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
- Support patients with mobility and physical assistance, including repositioning and use of mobility aids.
- Monitor and record vital signs (e.g., temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure) and report abnormalities to the nursing team.
- Assist with feeding patients who need help, and document food and fluid intake accurately.
- Support registered nurses with clinical tasks where appropriate (e.g., specimen collection, simple wound care).
- Observe and report any changes in a patient\'s physical or emotional condition.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control procedures.
- Accurately document care provided in patient records or care plans.
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient transfers.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, respecting their dignity and individual needs.
- Help maintain stock levels of medical supplies and ensure equipment is cleaned and stored correctly.
