Job summary

Nuffield Health is seeking a Bookings Administrator for Wessex Hospital on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will manage referrals, appointments and theatre bookings, coordinating with consultants and patients to ensure accurate scheduling and timely service delivery.

The role requires customer-facing experience, good IT skills, and a patient-centered approach to support the hospital’s service targets and equal care commitments.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration or equivalent.
• Experience in a customer-facing environment is preferred.
• Empathy, accuracy and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Deal with all administration tasks for inpatient bookings including booking theatre slots, pre-assessment appointments, liaising with consultants, patients and hospital departments.
• Handle telephone enquiries, providing excellent customer service.
• Manage appointments bookings and changes as required.
• Coordinate availability of rooms and consultants.
• Prepare standard and ad-hoc reports as required by the department.
